About SilencerScout

SilencerScout is an independent suppressor testing outfit. We put suppressors through MIL-STD-1474E sound testing protocols, and our own in house backpressure and flash testing to publish the measured results, so you're comparing real data before you buy.

We test suppressors across the metrics consumers actually care about. Sound is the first program we've built: a suppressor is metered by host platform, ammo/load, barrel length, mic position, and a separately-recorded first-round pop, so you can see how it performs in a setup that matches your own. We want our project to reflect what the everyday consumer cares about. Please reach out and let us know what you want to see tested, what you care about, or even gaps you see in our tests.
